Our Group would like to thank all the Staff and Management at Crosby High School for all their help and assistance, over the past 8 years. These kind people have organised all the venues for our meetings, and have contacted all the families of children in the school to invite them to be part of our Social Inclusion programmes. A lot of hard work goes into the organising of each activity, and the events would not have been possible without the co-operation and expertise of the people at the school.
Our Group would like to express its gratitude for the support of The Big Lottery Fund who provided the funds for our Social Inclusion programme during the summer of 2012. It must have taken a considerable amount of courage for ‘The Big Lottery’ to finance a group that had no previous track record of organising events. We are glad to say that at the end of the 12 month ‘Grant Period’, they were satisfied with what we had achieved.
We are very grateful to The Big Lottery Fund for its continued financial support and commitment to helping all our children and their families. The highly successful summer programmes of 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2019 would not have been possible without the help of The Big Lottery Fund.
During the summer of 2013, the Social Inclusion programme was financed by the BBC, Children In Need organisation. Our Group would like to express its gratitude to this organisation for its financial support during these very difficult times. Our Group would also like to send its congratulations to the BBC for both its highly successful 2013 ‘Children In Need, Rocks’ and ‘Children In Need’ fundraising programmes. It was amazing to see so many top quality stars appearing on the shows, and it must have taken a considerable amount of hard work to get one of the ‘Surprise Guests’ Agnetha to sing on the show, after avoiding all publicity for the past 25 years.
We are also very grateful to the BBC Children In Need organisation for providing the finance for the very popular summer programmes of 2015 and2017.
It is a tremendous achievement for the BBC Children In Need organisation to have raised over £1,000 Million for disadvantaged children and young people in the UK, during the years between 1980 and 2018.
On the evening show of 2018, there were some great performances by the cast of Eastenders,Strictly Come Dancing, Boyzone and many more.
In the programme 'Countryfile Ramble for Children In Need 2016' Levana and presenter Matt Baker went on a ramble in The Lake District. It took a lot of courage and determination for Levana to complete the course but she crossed the Finish Line with a lovely smile on her face. Well done Levana, and all the other people who took part in this programme.
Our Group would also like to thank Sefton CVS for all their help and encouragement over the last eight years. They have guided the group from its beginnings until now, were the group has become a highly respected Registered Charity. They have always been available to provide assistance whenever the group has applied for funding, and that is why the group has always been very successful in its applications.
Our Group would also like to express its gratitude to 3tc for constructing the website that you are currently viewing. The staff there have always been very helpful, and have provided the group with a very professional website, which can be easily amended to keep it up to date.
In conclusion, the Group would also like to thank all the other volunteers and helpers who have made a huge contribution to the group thus ensuring that all the Day Trips and Social Evenings were a great success.
